I pieced together 2 of 3 really great bands that I saw at Mercury Lounge NY. My really good friend, Avalonne- who I will introduce you to soon, got me out on a cold Wednesday night. THANK YOU, Ava!

Here’s the line-up and a quick, lil review :P

Band 1: Avan Lava. They’re SO GOOD live. New favorite, dancey, electric, and pretty sexual. 

Band 2: Jump Into The Gospel, I regret not taking pics of. I was just really into them and didn’t remember. 

Band 3: Leisure. LOVE Chill music. Their style (aesthetically) that night reminded me of early 90’s, “Pete and Pete”. Lead singer has a great voice. And they’re from Boston. 

I took my roomies and bff to Buckler for some free drinks. My good friend, Stephanie, interns there and was bartender for the night. She introduced us to a really good Tequila called, Corzo, and had us chase it with a bite of chocolate. Best drink of the night! We were entertaining ourselves with good conversation in this beautiful menswear studio and store, watched guests get a haircuts with drink in hand, danced around and played in the mens dressing room, and of course, enjoy the very fashionable men and women that surrounded us. My personal favorite was actually being able to catch up with my former design peers. They never fail to impress and surprise me. It was a wonderful start of the night.
