#beautiful hand painted detail by @katiakull on our black, faux #leather #turban #collaboration

Mid-way through the semester, I’ve been chosen to work on a Jewelry Collaboration project for my Senior Collection. Let me tell you how blessed I was to be teamed up with the most talented, kind-hearted Jewelry Major, Rachele. We hit it off the first time we met, NOT through verbal-exchange, but through our work and inspiration. Both of us brought in projects so similar, our professors automatically blurted ,”Match made in heaven”. Her being guided by the natural beauty of ‘Ocean’ life and I by the the people of the ‘Pacific’. So here we are, discussing the overall direction and development of our OVERSIZE jewelry and bright ‘green and blue’ line-up. It’s almost as if a Treasure Chest blew-up, filling the water with glittering gems and stones.
She brought in a Ziploc bag worth, I don’t know, hundreds or thousands of $$$. All of those stones and gems are actually real stones taken off gold jewelry from pawn shops in the P.I. I love Rachele and her humbleness about it…it’s really not a big deal to her. ;) View high resolution
