Christmas Nostalgia

With one NYC Christmas chapter under my belt, I must say I’m pretty surprised that I didn’t experience the ‘Christmas Snow’ that everyone talks about. Being from California, I’d have to admit that’s perfectly fine with me! haha But I did experience that warm, Christmas Joy and Cheer everyone would see in movies. The city lit up with decorated lights climbing up skyscrapers, the streets were filled with more people and smiling faces, jazzy versions of ‘I’m Coming Home for Christmas’ echoed in the subways…it was all just perfect.

People had come together to form Holiday Markets. One of the best Holiday Markets in Manhattan was thrown but UrbanSpaceNYC. A market built around one of the central Subway intersections in the city at this time of year. No one could miss it! Walk out of the Subway and …whoops… one has NO CHOICE but to walk through that amazing maze! The booths were all unique and filled with gems that cannot be found elsewhere.

Highlighted is the Siam booth. It is most memorable simply because of the collective’s story. These group of friends travel the world’s most exotic beaches to just SURF! They travel throughout the year and acquire one-of-a-kind goods from each country. Then when it’s Holiday time, they come to New York and share their adventures through souvenirs.  Beach-Bums living it up if you ask me.

Photos-Siam booth, merch, and one of the owners! Apple-Cider donuts with my good friend, Stephanie, and her doggie, Smallz!
